The Albanian women’s national team has learned its opponents for the new edition of the 2027 UEFA Women’s Nations League. Following today’s draw in Nyon, Switzerland, Albania has been placed in Group B1, where it will face Serbia, Belgium and Romania.
The league phase will be played in a home-and-away format, with each team playing one match at home and one away against each of the group’s opponents.
Group stage matches will be played across three international windows in 2027. The first two matches are scheduled between 23 February and 6 March, the next two between 13 and 24 April, while the final two fixtures will be played from 7 to 15 June.
How the competition works:
League B features 16 national teams, divided into four groups of four teams. The winners of the four groups will earn promotion to League A for the qualifying phase of the 2029 European Championship.
The teams ranked second in the League B groups will play home-and-away matches in October 2027 against the teams finishing third in the League A groups. The winners of these ties will play in League A, while the eliminated teams will remain in League B.
Third-placed teams in League B will also have the chance to retain their status through play-off matches. The two best-ranked third-placed teams will face the two best-ranked runners-up in League C. The winners will play in League B, while the losers will be relegated to League C. The other two third-placed teams and the four last-placed teams will be relegated directly to League C.
