Albanian PM criticizes EU’s attitude towards Kosovo
The fact Kosovo citizens have not been given visa-free movement by the European Union is "a shame," Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has said.
Edi Rama comments came Monday after he spoke at a Joint Government Meeting held in the capital of Tirana with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa.
Criticizing the EU's attitude towards Kosovo, he said merging Albania with Kosovo was only possible within the framework of EU integration.
Meanwhile, Albania and Kosovo signed five agreements in the areas of the economy, customs and tourism, and four memoranda of understanding along with two protocols.
Mustafa noted that all the agreements signed between the two countries covered steps taken for the welfare of citizens.
Serbian Origin Local Government Minister Ljubomir Maric in the Kosovo Government and Serbian Origin Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic did not participate in the joint meeting.
The first Joint Meeting of Government between the two countries was held in Prizren, Kosovo, last year.
