PM Rama orders institutions to not use public funds for campaign

The government aims to end the usage of public funds, human resources and vehicles for electoral campaigns. 

The Prime Minister has ordered to stop the practice of using public administration funds or vehicles for the electoral campaign.

The third point of this order says: “During the electoral campaign, the vehicles of the ministries and institutions under their control will not be used for the electoral campaign. The fuel will be covered by the users of these vehicles”.

A special attention is given to the Police and the National Guard.

The vehicles of the National Guard and the Police will be used only for fulfilling their functional duties”, the order says.

In the past elections in Albania, the OSCE-ODIHR missions have focused on the usage of pu9blic funds for the elections.
