That’s a first, plenary sitting lasts only 15 minutes
Today's plenary sitting lasted just about 15 minutes and Speaker Ilir Meta rushed into approving some laws, while the opposition MP-es protested by standing near the pulpit. While Democrat MP, Arben Ristani urged Meta to step down, the speaker decided to keep going by avoiding any discussion.
While thousands of citizens are traveling to Tirana from other cities, in a short briefing, Edi Paloka the head of the DP parliamentary group said that the protest will be peaceful. Paloka said that all embassies are aware of any scenario that can be provoked by the other party, that will be the main responsible. He ended his speech saying: "Remove Enver's volunteers."
After Paloka, former PM Sali Berisha said that the majority is involved in criminal activity so it should leave and we should hold early elections.
