Urban Renaissance, allocated 125 million $ for 2015
The Albanian government allocated a fund of 125 million dollars for the Renaissance of the cities, voiced Friday in Korça, deputy premier Niko Peleshi, during the Forum of Urban Development in Albania.
Peleshi highlighted that the government has in its focus the revival of the Albanian urban centers.
“In our plan work is cooperation with the actors of the regional and urban economic development to give a positive impulse, to the economic development in the urban centers of Albania”, said Peleshi.
“We have allocated a fund of 125 million dollars for the 2015 with the aim to revive the cities. The innovation of this project is that through this fund we wish to give a qualitative impetus to the urban centers and further, we want for this impetus to be transmitted to the economy through the cooperation with the development actors, aiming that our decisions be coherent with the pathway of the development and not the personal interest, as it happened earlier”, said Peleshi. According to the deputy premier it is time to end the transition period in Albania and this transition is not just an economic and social one, but of values as well./
