- THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION — the government of the EUROPEAN UNION — a short while ago strongly condemned the violence and arson, the destruction of public institutions and private property in Tirana, and called for dialogue;
- THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY OF ALBANIA likewise condemned the violence and called for dialogue that resolves problems and restores peace and goodwill among people; THE INTERFAITH COUNCIL OF ALBANIA, one day earlier, strongly condemned the violence and also called for dialogue;
- THE PARLIAMENT AND GOVERNMENT OF STUDENTS today condemned the violence and called for their voice to be heard regarding their current concerns, but also those of students, whose status they will soon have; they called for dialogue and solutions;
- THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, yesterday — for the second time in a few days — strongly condemned the violence and called for constructive dialogue between the parties.
So, SOCIETY here, in this country, but also our MOST IMPORTANT INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS, are rejecting violence, isolating violence; they DO NOT ACCEPT IT AS AN ALTERNATIVE OR AS A SOLUTION — everyone is saying so very clearly.
There is no cause or party project that LEGITIMIZES VIOLENCE!
The world has chosen another path, it certainly guarantees freedom of expression and of protest, BUT PEACEFULLY, while it COMMUNICATES, DIALOGUES AND RESOLVES — this is the path.
The EUROPEAN COMMISSION today emphasized the determination the country has and the IMPORTANT PROGRESS that Albania is making toward EU membership — this is the national and EUROPEAN political project for ALBANIA; there is no other path.
VIOLENCE BRINGS FEAR AND FEAR MUST NOT BE THE FUTURE; HOPE IS THE FUTURE THAT HAS MOVED PEOPLES FORWARD, US TOO!
