Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro said in a message that schools are open and fully operational.
“Education Ministry employees have not missed a single working day, either in person or online, even though some of our offices have been damaged. Over the weekend we were in constant communication with our education system so that classes could resume this week in all schools, where teachers, principals, security officers and social workers are waiting for you with open arms.
We are all at our posts. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all teachers for their full dedication and for their time, not only for the children but also for communicating with parents,” Kumbaro said.
Classes began this Monday in more than 1,400 schools across the country, throughout Albania. Meanwhile, Minister Mirela Kumbaro also had a message for parents.
“Dear parents, have faith in the teachers. But above all, talk with your children. Every hour that violence takes from them, every minute they spend watching the vandalism done to our city on social media, are hours lost from their lives. Their time is for education. Schools are open and fully operational.”
The Education Minister also addressed students, inviting them to dialogue.
“Students, we have been in communication, including individually, throughout this year in this position I hold, and I want to guarantee you that the Ministry’s door is open, but also that the hearts of Ministry of Education employees are open. Things are done with heart and with willingness to move forward. At any moment I am ready to sit down together and improve everything that needs to be done,” said Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro.
