A small building in the Zvërnec area, near the canal that connects the Narta lagoon with the sea, was engulfed by flames this afternoon.
The building was used to store fishing equipment. Firefighters from Vlora arrived at the scene immediately and intervened to bring the situation under control.
The flames risked spreading to the pine forest near the building, but the firefighters’ intervention prevented the fire from spreading.
Preliminarily, an electrical spark is suspected to have been the cause. The incident caused only material damage, while efforts continue to fully determine the circumstances.
