The Democratic Party of Kosovo is going through an important phase of internal reorganization. This follows the departure of Bedri Hamza from the party’s leadership and the opening of the race to elect a new party leader. In this process, the attention of political analysts is focused not only on the names of potential candidates. It is also focused on the leadership model that the PDK will follow in the future, as well as on the possible influence of interest groups in this race for the new PDK leader. Currently, the party is being led by Vlora Çitaku as acting party leader. This happened after the resignation of former leader Bedri Hamza. Internal elections in the PDK have already been announced. Thus, the race for leadership of the party has been officially opened.
