Footage of a clash between protesters and police has also been published by the head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla. The video shows water cannon trucks placed on the front line to disperse the protesters, while police forces stand in the second row behind them. The crowd facing them moves in unison and falls back as a result of the water, but does not stop its attacks with stones. Through these images, Balla has defended the actions of the law enforcement forces, declaring that the police are trying to protect the country from chaos. “Everything the State Police does is protecting Albania from chaos”, Balla wrote.
