Tension and physical confrontation were recorded in Parliament this Thursday, when Democratic Party MP Fidel Kreka attacked former Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha, striking him on the head with the voting block.
The situation escalated in the parliamentary chamber, where Kreka also tried to hit Socialist Party MP Bledi Çuçi. The intervention of the Parliamentary Guard prevented a further clash between deputies. The incident caused tension in the chamber, bringing back into focus the climate of confrontation between political representatives during parliamentary proceedings.
Kreka first approached Socialist Party deputies, and a verbal confrontation began. Afterwards, former minister Ervin Hoxha was seen approaching him, asking that the situation calm down. Then Kreka turned back to the latter, pushing him with both hands. At that moment, the situation worsened, as Hoxha attempted to respond, but the Guard and other deputies intervened immediately.
The confrontation continued between them with trivial insults from both sides, while on Kreka’s side were his colleagues, with the Guard in between, and on Hoxha’s side were his colleagues, who were trying to calm the situation.
