Vlorë/ Police complete “Yacht” coded operation, prevent possible criminal incident.
34-year-old arrested for attempting to use a firearm during a conflict.
Pistol firearm and a metal knuckle duster seized.
Vlorë Police Station Services organized and completed the coded police operation “Yacht”, under which citizen M. M., 34, a resident of Vlorë, was arrested in flagrante.
During patrols in the “Uji i Ftohtë” neighborhood on the evening of yesterday, at around 20:50, at the place called “Rrapi”, Police officers observed a conflict over trivial motives between the 34-year-old and citizen E. H., 41, a resident of Tirana.
Police services intervened immediately, preventing the situation from escalating. During the intervention, the 34-year-old attempted to run away, but was caught and neutralized by Police officers.
Based on initial investigative actions, it is suspected that during the conflict, the 34-year-old attempted to use a pistol firearm, which he then threw into the sand at the place where he was caught by Police services. The weapon was found and seized as material evidence.
Also, during the search of his vehicle, a metal knuckle duster was found, which was seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office at the Vlorë First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction, for further action
