British runner George Scholey has set a new world record by completing a one-mile race while solving four Rubik’s Cubes along the way. The feat took place on October 12. It was recorded in the Guinness World Records as the fastest time for this combination, Guinness World Records announced.
The record was set in the one-mile run with four Rubik’s Cubes category. It is a discipline that he now holds in his name in the Guinness World Records. His latest record comes after a series of other unusual achievements.
He finished the race in 5 minutes and 9.25 seconds, according to the same source. To achieve this, he had to solve a cube, run one lap on the track, and repeat the process until he had finished four cubes and the full one-mile distance. Scholey holds the record for the largest number of cubes solved while riding a skateboard, a total of 500.
He also holds the record for the most cubes solved within 24 hours, a total of 6,931. The runner has also set a record for solving cubes while running a marathon, in which he completed 520 of them. However, this latter record was later broken by Spanish runner Toti Moragas Pardell, who managed to solve 561 cubes during a marathon.
Despite this, he continues to hold several world records in this field, including that of the mile with four cubes, which now bears his name in the Guinness World Records.
