Historitë e Çmendura të Tiranës is my new novel, which went to the Onufri printing house today.
This novel was written out of sorrow for the city where I was born. Tirana has fewer books about it than any other European capital.
Historitë e Cmendura të Tiranës tells of the wars, invasions, constructions and intrigues that hundreds of pashas, beys, adventurers, soldiers, writers, poets, kings and emperors waged against one another to control the city from 1600 to 2000.
Whoever reads this story spanning 400 years will understand that Tirana has been burned several times, as is happening today as well, and has always risen again more beautiful and more vital.
It is a fatal coincidence, not planned at all, that the book is being published precisely these days when the city is suffering.
Starting from November 3, Historitë e Cmendura të Tiranës will be in every bookshop.
