Bank of Albania announces deposits rose by 0.35 pct year-on-year

According to Albanian Telegraphic Agency, the bank said the interest rates on 12-month deposits at the end of September were lower than the average of 1.6 percent, the lowest historical level.

This drastic lowering of interest rates reflects at the same time both a very low base norm of interest rates and the good liquidity situations of banks. The experts signal that a significant problem to the economy is informal lending, likewise the flow of money outside Albania.
